"Terrible service, hard to swallow."
A review of Howie's by Anonymous - Saturday 29th of March 2008
We ate at Howies last week as it seemed to be a nice restaurant with quality food. this was true for the first course, however the steak we ordered was not as advertised, rib eye, it was very thin, fatty and full of gristle. We attempted to eat what we could as we don't usually like to complain, it ruins a good night out. However when we got to the point of not being able to cut or chew the steak we pointed the problem out to our waitress. She took it back to the chef who sent her back to tell us we were lying and there was nothing wrong with the steak. Apparently he was eating eat and failed to notice most of the leftovers had previously been chewed. They refused to reduce the price of our meal, quite loudly so that other customers could see and hear our dilemna and even commented to us that they were concerned about what their meal would be like. In my experience in the hospitality industry I have never heard of anybody being treated so rudely..... What happened to the customer is always right? I wouldn't recommend anybody go to this restaurant as for the price you pay, you would expect the quality of the food and the service to be a lot better. Luckily there is a great indian restaurant just across the street.
