"A hidden gem!"
A review of La Piazza by Anonymous - Friday 20th of June 2008
On a day trip to Edinburgh we were recommended La Piazza by a friend who told us that it was the best Italian he had been to. Eager to try it for ourselves, we ventured inside to see what all the fuss was about. From the front it looks pleasant enough (if you ignore the roadworks!) but inside it opens out into an elegant dining room with attached terrace that oozes class and we felt instantly comfortable. The staff were pleasant and attentive without seeming false and the service was efficient without being rushed. The food was lovely and the portions were generous enough to fill our bellies for the days shopping that lay ahead. All in all, a great meal and we will definately be coming back soon.
