Myself and my Auntie went for a meal in Bar Napoli on Sunday a few weeks ago as the last stragglers of a fantastic Hen Weekend that I didnt think could get much better! Being a Hen Weekend we were feeling a little worse for wear and decided a nice quiet meal would be the ticket, we found Bar Napoli quite by mistake and didnt hold high expectations as we entered the restaurant. BUT.....I cannot explain how fantastic this place is! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they made us feel very welcome, even though it was the final of the Euro 2008 competition and many of the young lads im sure would have rather watched the match! Just as we got our head around the vast menu we were told about a Lobster Special for that evening and that they would cook us an entire (Fresh / ALIVE!) lobster with seafood linguine along side it - he told us it would be £15 each which was a BARGIN!!!!! The meal that followed was AMAZING! the best Seafood dish I have EVER eaten - I cannot stress that enough! it was truly fantastic and after 3 hours, a whole Lobster and 2 bottles of wine later me and my auntie left Bar Napoli promising that if we came back to Edinbugh that we would return to this lovely Italian and in the mean time would recomend it to as many people as we could! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!! |
