"Nice items for sale, poor customer service"

I used to really like this small, independent shop and had bought several nice cards and quirky gifts over the years. Until, that is, I had to return a faulty item (within one week, with a receipt). The shop would not accept responsibility for the fault and refused me a refund. The staff embarrassed me in front of a busy shop and stated that they were confident the goods would not have been sold in that condition. The whole experience was humiliating and I will never go back there. My advice: check your goods thoroughly before you leave the shop (or better still avoid at all costs).
