"Parking and Podiatry"

A review of Springwell Medical Centre by Anonymous written on Sunday 15th of May 2011

There is now an area of Springwell House grounds which caters for just a section of patients - although it is very difficult to ascertain which section that is and to choose wrongly means a fine of £90. Podiatry does not seem to have a designated parking area and as people (mostly older people)attend because their feet have painful problems to be attended to it would seem reasonable to me that many patients will arrive by car.

I do not know if this is part of the reason why a once full waiting room is now sparsely used or if it is because of the rather inane system of having to write with a stamped addressed envelope to obtain an appointment. I am beginning to wonder if this is leading to privitisation as I was actually told that perhaps I could cut my husband's toenails when he applied to become a patient and was turned down.
