"Amazing recovery from Bell's Palsy"

A review of Helen How by Sandy Cullen written on Friday 3rd of August 2007

Three weeks ago, I awoke to find that one side of my face had 'frozen' (the right side). I soon discovered that I had succumbed to an attack of Bell's Palsy, a condition which attacks suddenly and without warning, and is thought to be caused by the cold sore virus, herpes C. It effects speech, eyesight (the right eye cannot close) and gives one a lopsided look that is anything but attractive! My GP's prognosis was that it could last anything between a month and a year (or more!) but that, eventually, it would disappear of its own accord. I actually met an acquaintance who has had it for 18 months and, although much better, has still not cleared totally.

I was told, however, that stimulating the affected nerves as soon as possible was important and that 'massage' by an expert might help. I had heard about Helen How from a friend and I contacted her. Immediately she said that she had treated a sufferer some time ago, and that he had recovered quickly after her treatment. After only two sessions with Helen, the recovery was clearly visible and by the third (within 10 days from the start) the palsy had almost entirely cleared up. According to accepted knowledge on Bell's Palsy, this is an extremely swift recovery - i.e. three weeks from the onset, and I had first consulted Helen at the start of week 2. I cannot thank her enough and I recommend anyone who suffers this frightful and debilitating curse to contact her immediately. .
