"The folk for folk amongst other things!!!"
A review of HMV UK Ltd by Norma jones - Thursday 13th of September 2007
Being new to the world of folk music i went along to hmv princes st in edinburgh hoping to get a little advice. what i didn't excpect was the level of help and advice i received! After looking around the store for a few minutes i was approached by a young man eho asked if i was needing any help, i then said that i was newly into folk music and if he could reccomend anything. he asked what i had listened to, i said i had heard someone by the name of seth lakeman, he replied that he had both of his albums and thought they were fantastic and pointed them out to me, he then went on to reccomend a band by the name of show of hands and said i could listen to it if i wanted, he also said that the singer from that band had released a solo album and gave that to me also. I listend to a bit from each and was delighted. The young mans knowladge and passion for the product was second to none and i look forward to returning to the store to enjoy the shopping experience again! i just hope he dosen't reccoment too much more or i will end upliving on beans on toast! also the service at the desk was top notch. An allround fantastic shopping experience! Thanks Richard and your team.
