The James Court Apartments provide 3-star accommodation in the centre of enchanting medieval Edinburgh. The best location in the heart of Edinburgh, just off of the World Famous Royal Mile, close to Edinburgh Castle.

The apartments contain a minimum double bedroom, bathroom with power shower, comfortable living area with TV, DVD, and fully equipped kitchen. A welcome pack of cereal, milk, tea and coffee is provided on arrival.

We have two additional discounted rooms located at the top of a historic stairwell. They forego the lounge and kitchen area and are for two people only. Feel the medieval atmosphere as you explore Edinburgh's incredible history, starting with the enchanting walk up our 400-year-old stone stairwell with its 97 steps.

All main tourist attractions are on your doorstep, as we are in close proximity to Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street and Gardens, the Scottish Whisky Heritage Centre, Waverley Station and many company and government offices.

Nearby you will also find a huge variety of restaurants, bars, clubs and shopping. We have agreements set up for discounts in local restaurants, as there is no restaurant on site.

Guests can benefit from a 24 hour check-in service, secure baggage storage on day of arrival and departure, complimentary refreshments in our honesty bar, complimentary internet facilities and comprehensive tourist information.

Please note that we do not offer parking. Guests can park at one of the nearby NCP car parks, which offer a secure parking place during your stay with us.

Guests can expect comfortable apartments in a fabulous historic setting. Please note that our apartments are located in historical buildings and that there is no lift. Due to the layout of the city, guests may be required to climb a number of steps to reach their accommodation. Guests who have mobility problems are kindly asked to inform us of this when booking.

All areas are strictly NON-SMOKING and ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES are NOT permitted. There can be noise.

Check-in time is from 15:00 onwards. Check-in and key collection for the apartments is at our head office located at: 6 Queen Street, New Town, Edinburgh, EH2 1JE. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS ONLY THE LOCATION OF OUR OFFICE AND THAT YOU WILL BE SUPPLIED WITH THE DIRECTIONS AND KEYS TO YOUR APARTMENT.

Check-out time is 10:00. Late check-outs can be arranged prior to arrival or with the concierge at check-in. There is a fee for this service of 10 GBP per hour. The latest check-out time is 14:00.
