"Re poor service"

Mrs Cochrane doesnt state what the probs were.I have had my car serviced there and was quite happy with the service.At the service I was informed of extra work needing done but due to my work commitments I couldnt leave the car and had to return at a later date.But that was not the garages fault. When I did return the probs were fixed. I am of the view that things do go wrong (after all the garage doesnt manufacture the car) And garages have to find out what is wrong before putting things right.I have witnessed some people demand this and demand that and are too quick to jump up and down and abuse the people that are trying to help them just because they are inconvienced a little bit. What happens when the local garages dont have the equipment or diagnostic machines costing the main agents thousands of pounds to repair the motor and the small garages have nobody trained to fix them? The customer then goes back to the agent and DEMANDS a brand new car to run about in till theirs is fixed not only that they tell the garage when they want the car back and if it cant be ready to fit in with their round of golf or aftenoon teas they start jumping up and down.Remember pampering costs money.Thats why The independants charge less.How many people go to the independants and get cheaper parts fitted and have to go back more often to get more fitted? How many small garages spend hours and hours on the car and then phone the dealer to find out how to cure the fault when the dealer may have the answer in minutes? I have,at my cost been a victim of this.I have witnessed in some garages, people booking in cars for a service only and then on the day handing, a load extra work which could not have possibly have carried out on the day due to the workshop being fully loaded and the customer complaining that it wasnt done. Ok there are some bad garages but the reason we put cars in garages is because we are not trained and dont know the first thing about them.So I wonder if these complainers have never made a mistake in their own work place or if they could provide any better a service....try it sometime. .
